Imperfect and impatient!

Good morning lovelies! My name is Sarah and I'm starting a blog on all things I love and I love being creative! I am in no way a perfectionist and I don't have the best patience at times hahaha. I wanted to post about sewing projects and DIYs that I attempt and complete but also show people what went wrong in the process. Let me tell you more about myself before I start blogging about frustrations with sewing and glueing fingers together!
First and foremost, I am a hairstylist and makeup artist. I love making people look beautiful and feel their very best. It's such a wonderful creative outlet to enhance someone's beauty! I love what I do! You can follow my Facebook hair page and/or instagram to see some of the work I do.
My fiancé, Zachary, and I have been together for 8 years this October. Love this guy to death! He is my number 1 supporter, best friend, and makes me laugh at the dumbest things. Currently he is going to school to become a licensed tattoo artist in Oregon. He encouraged me and helped me go through beauty school and it feels great to return the favor and see him achieve his dream too.
This is me a week ago! That's right we're expecting our first baby! I'm 33 weeks pregnant right now. My due date, October 21st is right around the corner! Zach and I decided not to find out the gender. I can't wait to see our baby for the first time and hear the doctor announce "IT'S A...." I'm still working at the salon and just finished up my last weekend doing hair and makeup for weddings as well. I was working 5 days a week and thankfully starting this month I'm getting an extra day off. Making a human is exhausting and hard work!

My grandmother's sewing machine recently fell into my hands. I have been with and without a sewing machine forever, most of the time without, which means I haven't had very much practice. I'm not very good but I love doing it.
Here's my little sewing nook. My sewing machine is in the cabinet. I found so many cool vintage items in my grandmother's sewing dressers my dad and Zach brought me.
I also came into possession of lots and lots of vintage patterns. I can't wait to start making some dresses once I am no longer pregnant. Thankfully there are some super cute baby and toddler outfit patterns too. Making my baby some clothes is going to feel amazing.

Pictured above are some baby sized "TOMS" I made recently. These are the second attempt. The first ones I made were really haggard! These aren't even that very good and came out way too small. Don't think my baby will fit them! My mom came up with the great idea to put them in a shadow box since I made them with baby in mind. I love that idea!

Now I need everyone's help picking out a name for my blog. I literally have no ideas. I love all things vintage and I love crafting and sewing but I almost never make anything perfect like some of the other sewing/crafting bloggers. Sometimes my things come out a hot mess and I have to do it all over hahaha. It would be awesome to have a name that reflects that. Comment your ideas and let me know! Soon I will be posting about a diaper bag I am making for Zachary since he wants his very own! Stay tuned!
